The Road Safety Foundation regularly organizes policy-making seminars, roundtable meeting and awareness programs on road safety, proper transportation strategy and resolve of traffic congestion.
Motivational Training Program:
Road Safety Foundation conducts motivational training programs for drivers to encourage safe driving.
Awarding Program for responsible Transport Owners and skilled Drivers:
There are some responsible transport owners in the country, who run their transport business with proper management and there are many skilled drivers, who drive safety. They should be evaluated and honored. Because, evaluation makes a man more responsible and work oriented. In this context, Road Safety Foundation is rewarding responsible transport owners and skilled drivers every year to encourage safe driving. The awardees are becoming more responsible in their profession and feeling honored in social gamut. This award is also inspiring others successively.
Road Safety Campaign in Educational Institutions:
The level of youth and students causalities in road accidents in the country is alarming. Faulty roads, vehicles, inefficiency and negligence of transport owners and drivers are responsible for these accidents, but public awareness is no lesser responsible. Reckless motorcycle riding student, teenage youth killed, students killed in crossing the road, women/female students killed by tethering their dress with the wheel of rickshaw, van, easy bike and locally made vehicles (nosimon, korimon, votvoti, alamshadhu, tomtom etc.) such ruthless incidents are happening frequently. The reason for such accidents is lack of awareness.
In this context, Road Safety Foundation is conducting road safety campaign at school, college and university level.
Program for Women’s Safety in Public Transport:
The general public transport of the country is not female-friendly. In these mass transport women suffer physical and mental torture. Sometimes, rape and murder incidents by transport workers are also happening. Women are being harassed at getting up and down in public transport. The Road Safety Foundation is conducting a program called ‘Women’s Safety Program in Public Transport’- through this program motivation and campaign are being carried out among transport workers to treat women passengers with respect. The Foundation also provides legal support for abused women.
Health Care Program:
Road safety Foundation is operating mobile clinic at different bus terminals to provide health care services to transport workers.
Research Program:
Road Safety Foundation undertakes various regular and ad-hoc research activities to improve road safety eco system. This foundation focuses on human centered design approach to utilize human and technology interaction to bring the best results. It also focuses on qualitative, quantitative and behavioral research.
Reports of Road Accidents:
Road Safety Foundation publishes analytical reports of road accidents regularly in the mass media.
